About College

The Neotia University (TNU) is one of the noble initiatives by the AmbujaNeotia Group that is headquartered in Kolkata. This dynamic endeavor of AmbujaNeotia Group is led by our Chancellor Mr. Harshavanrdhan Neotia. The Neotia University was established vide the West Bengal State Government University Act XXIII of 2014 and enlisted & recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC), Govt. of India.

TNU is primarily reaching out to the brightest of the interior students in rural areas with multidisciplinary courses with specialization to ensure that students have the required skill and knowledge that will ensure their leadership for jobs and self-employment.

TNU offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate Programmes in Science & Technology, Maritime Studies, Agriculture & Allied Sciences, Hospitality Administration and Culinary Arts, Pharmaceutical Science, Health Sciences, Humanities Management & Social Sciences and Legal Studies. The multidisciplinary courses with specializations are designed to ensure that students have the required subject & practical skills & knowledge that will ensure their leadership for jobs and self-employment.

Scholarships

Neotia University offers a list of scholarships for Indian, Nepal and Bhutan and Internation students based on students' marks in their last qualifying examination. For UG courses, scholarships will be given based on Class 12 (best of 5 subjects)/ Diploma/ WBJEE or JEE ranks. For PG, overall graduation marks will be considered. TNU doesn't have any fixed number of students to avail of the scholarships offered, and if a student is eligible as per the set criteria then he or she will be able to avail the scholarships. The table below lists the various TNU scholarships along with their percentage of scholarships:

Note: Apart from the above-mentioned criteria, scholarship percentages also vary depending on students' financial condition, cultural participation and sports championships. Also, students are eligible for financial support from only one scheme, multiple scholarships cannot be awarded to a single student.

West Bengal Government Scholarship

Apart from the above-mentioned types of scholarships, the Government of West Bengal also offers merit-cum-means scholarships called the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship to help meritorious students with having annual family income not exceeding INR 2,50,000 in the State of West Bengal for pursuing higher studies. It also offers KanyashreePrakalpa Scholarship under this scheme to the girl students pursuing PG courses. The minimum eligibility required to avail this scholarship are given below:

Eligibility:
• 60% marks in the last qualifying examination for Higher Secondary or undergraduate courses
• 53% marks in Honours subject for Post Graduate courses General Education
• 55% marks in Graduation for Post Graduate courses Engineering Education
• Annual family income less than INR 2,50,000/-
• Students must be residents of West Bengal
• Not applying for any other Govt. scholarship
