Scholarships
Banaras Hindu University offers various concessions to students who belong to financially weaker sections or families. For the BHU scholarship 2023, there is a “Student Welfare Fund” that aids with all financial concessions. Below are the details of the scholarships provided by this fund :-
- Free Meal Facility :- Under this scheme, 50 economically weak students will be provided with free meals for at least 7 months. In the case of the female hostellers, the entire mess charges can be reimbursed under this scheme.
- Annadaan Yojana :- Blind students will be awarded an amount of Rs 5000 as well as free meals under this concession.
- After applying on the BHU Scholarship portal, students can get annual financial assistance of Rs 2000. This is applicable to a maximum of 100 students.
- A one-time grant of Rs 4000 will be provided to physically handicapped students and this is applicable to a maximum of 25 students.
- The sleeper class rail fare will be reimbursed to students who participate in any seminaror , conference at the national level.
- BHU scholarship for PG students, a sum of Rs 5000 is granted to 10 students who organise workshops or seminars at the institute level.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducted its 2021 placement drive. More than 45 companies participated in the placement drive. This year, more recruiters visited the campus compared to last year. More than 130 placement offers were made to the students from various courses.
The final placement report of the 2021 placement drive is out now. As per the report, the highest CTC of INR 14 LPA was offered to the students. Various job roles like Associate Consultant, Probation Officer, Business Analytics, Risk Analyst, Human Resource Manager etc were offered to the students. Students received placement offers from companies like IBM, Genpact, Infosys, Federal Bank, Wipro, IDBI Bank etc.
