What is CG PPHT
CG PPHT stands for Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test. It is an entrance examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) for admission to various pharmacy courses offered by colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh.
The exam is usually held in the month of May, and the application process starts in March or April. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, and the questions are based on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
To be eligible for Chhattisgarh Pre Pharmacy Test, candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 30 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.

CG PPHT Application form
The application form for Chhattisgarh Pre Pharmacy Test is usually released by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) in the month of March or April. The application form can be filled online through the official website of the board. Here are the steps to fill the application form:
- Visit the official website of CPEB at https://vyapam.cgstate.gov.in/
- Click on the "Online Application" tab on the homepage and select "CG PPHT".
- Register on the portal by providing your basic details like name, email id, mobile number, etc. You will receive a registration number and password on your registered email id and mobile number.
- Log in using your registration number and password.
- Fill in the application form with personal, educational, and contact details.
- Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee through online mode using a debit card/credit card/net banking.
- Review the application form and click on the submit button.
- Take a printout of the filled-in application form for future reference.
Latest Notification
As of now, there is no official notification released by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) regarding CG PPHT 2025. However, it is expected that the notification for CG PPHT 2025 will be released in the coming months, tentatively around March or April.
Once the notification is released, it will contain details such as exam dates, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, and other important information regarding the CG PPHT 2025 exam.
Registration
Candidates are advised to read the information written in the brochure completely before proceeding to the application form:
- Candidates will have to fill CG PPHT Application Form and fee through online mode only.
- Students are eligible for their desired courses to submit the application form once fresh dates are announced.
- Applicants are being informed to submit the application form and fee before the lapse of deadline or else the application will not be considered and termed rejected.
- Candidates who are likely to appear in more than one course, have to submit the separate application form for their respective courses.
- Upload the recent color passport photograph and signature in specified format.
- Candidates are requested to take the printout of duly filled form and keep it safely with them.
Eligibility Criteria
There is a certain Eligibility criterion set up for candidates who want to appear in CG PPHT. Only if they are eligible then they can appear and sit in the exam.
- Domicile: To be eligible for Chhattisgarh quota seats, candidates must be Chhattisgarh state-citizen and he/she should have domicile for the same.
- Age: The maximum age for B.Pharma is 30 years. Three years of age relaxation will be given for reserved category candidates including female candidates. There is no maximum age prescribed for the D.Pharma course.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 12th class from any recognized board.
- Subjects: The mandatory subjects in the qualifying exam should be English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biotechnology/Biology.
- Minimum Marks: Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB. For reserved categories, the minimum marks prescribed is 40%.
Application Fee
The application fee for CG PPHT varies according to the category of the candidate. As of my knowledge cutoff of September 2021, the following was the application fee for CG PPHT:
- For General category candidates: Rs. 200/-
- For OBC category candidates: Rs. 150/-
- For SC/ST category candidates: Rs. 100/-
The application fee can be paid online using a debit card/credit card/net banking. Candidates are advised to keep a printout of the payment receipt for future referenc
Exam Pattern
The CG PPHT (Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test) exam pattern consists of a single paper with 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
The questions in the exam are from four subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and Reasoning. The subject-wise distribution of questions is as follows:
- Physics: 50 questions
- Chemistry: 50 questions
- Biology/Mathematics: 50 questions
- Reasoning: 10 questions
Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The questions in the exam are based on the syllabus of class 11th and 12th of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education.
The medium of the exam is English and Hindi, and candidates can choose the language of their choice. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet.

The reservation policy for CG PPHT is as follows:
- Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates: 16%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates: 32%
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates: 14%

Counselling
The CG PPHT (Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test) counselling process is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) for the candidates who have qualified in the exam and secured a rank in the merit list. The counselling process includes the following steps:
- Registration: Candidates need to register themselves for the counseling process by filling up the counseling application form and paying the counseling fee. Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates need to fill up the choices of colleges and courses they wish to apply for, in order of their preference. After filling up the choices, candidates need to lock them. It is important to note that the choices once locked cannot be modified.
- Seat Allotment: Based on the candidate's merit rank and the choices filled, seats will be allotted to the candidates in the respective colleges.
- Reporting to the Allotted College: Candidates who are allotted a seat need to report to the allotted college within the specified time period and complete the admission formalities.

Eligibilty Criteria
There is a certain Eligibility criterion set up for candidates who want to appear in CG PPHT. Only if they are eligible then they can appear and sit in the exam.
