About
Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) is a mandatory examination in which all the people who are aspiring for the job of a secondary school teacher in Odisha are required to qualify to be eligible for the post.
The candidates are required to score 60% to qualify for the examination. The qualifying marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC need 50% marks to qualify for the examination. OSSTET is conducted only once a year. However, the candidates can take the examination as many times as they wish to.

What is OSSTET 2023?
The Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test is a state-level eligibility examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) for the recruitment of teachers for secondary schools in Odisha. The Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test exam is conducted in two different categories, i.e., Category I (for candidates who intend to teach classes I to V) and Category II (for candidates who intend to teach classes VI to VIII). The exam is conducted in offline mode and consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is meant for Category I candidates, while Paper II is meant for Category II candidates.
The Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test exam is conducted once a year, and candidates who qualify in the exam are awarded a certificate of eligibility, which is valid for seven years from the date of issue. Candidates who possess this certificate can apply for teaching jobs in secondary schools in Odisha.

OSSTET Application Form 2023
The application process for the OSSTET 2023 exam has not yet begun as the official notification for the exam has not been released by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. It is expected that the notification for the OSSTET 2023 exam will be released in the coming months, and the application process will commence shortly after that.

How to Apply for OSSTET Recruitment 2023?

- Click on New Registration to create a new Login ID.
- On successful registration, login ID and Password will be sent on the registered mail of the candidate.

- Proceed to pay the application fees.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates need to fulfil minimum criteria to be eligible for the OSSTET Recruitment 2023. The eligibility criteria which a candidate needs to satisfy for OSSTET Recruitment 2023 is-:
- The candidate should be a Citizen of India.
- The candidate should have passed his/her Higher Secondary Examination from BSE Odisha. If the candidate is from CBSE/ICE board, then they must have studied and passed Odia as one of their subjects.
- The candidate should be a permanent resident of Odisha and should be fluent in Odia. candidates from other states are not eligible.
- The candidates should have passed their Bachelor's Degree in the respective discipline with at least 50% from a recognized university. The candidates should also hold a B.Ed Degree from a university recognized by NCTE.
Application Fee
The candidates are required to pay the application fees at the time of filling the application form. The payments can be made through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or, Bank Challan. The payment can be made online as well as offline mode. The application fees paid by the candidates is as follows:

Exam Pattern
The OSSTET Exam contains two papers. Paper-1 is for the candidates who wish to apply for the post of TGT in an academic subject. Paper-2 is for the candidates who wish to apply for the post of sports teacher. The language of the question paper is English except for the language paper.

Reservation
