Eligibilty Criteria

OUAT 2022 Eligibility is defined by the coordinating body. The standard is different for each UG program. They are as follows:

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.

  • Candidate must complete 17 years of age by Dec. 31, 2022 (Born on or before Dec. 31, 2003)
  • Each UG program requires a candidate to have a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Whereas for SC/ ST/ PH candidates it is 40%.
  • Each PG program requires the candidates to score a minimum of 60% for general candidates, whereas SC/ST/PwD/Kashmiri Migrants or Non-migrants should have a minimum of 50%
Exam Pattern

OUAT 2022 will be an offline test. Candidates will have to answer the questions asked in an OMR sheet provided to them.

  • They must note that they can only use a black or a blue ballpoint or ink pen to mark the answers in the OMR sheet.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hrs.
  • The total marks for the same are 200.
  • The exam comprises multiple choices questions (MCQ) with single correct answers.

There will be 4 sections in total - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Physics and Chemistry sections are compulsory and all candidates will have to answer both these sections to qualify. Candidates can choose either one section from Mathematics or Biology to answer - depending on the subjects they have in their +2 level.

All questions will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no negative marking: -

  • The venue details for the selected offline examination centres will be mentioned in the official OUAT website - www.ouat.nic.in or https://www.lokaseba-odisha.in.
  • The candidate will have the option to choose his/her preferred exam centre while filling up the registration form.
  • The examination will be OMR based.
  • All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with only one correct answer.
  • There will be no negative marking for choosing an incorrect option.
  • The candidate can only use a blue or a black ballpoint pen for answering the questions.

The exam syllabus for OUAT 2022 will be based on the syllabus from the 10+2 level exam. Candidates are advised to follow the official OUAT website to get a detailed idea of the syllabus: -

OUAT 2022 Counselling for UG and PG courses is expected to start from the 1st week of December 2022, for both UG and PG programs. Short-listed candidates should attend the counseling session for admission to various courses. The schedule for the same will be uploaded on the official OUAT website.

Students must be present at the counseling session according to the time and date allotted to them. They must attend the counselling procedure in person along with a parent or guardian. Seats will be allotted on the basis of merit, preference of course as chosen by the individual, and availability of seats. The Counselling process will take place in the following way:

  • The counselling session will be held as per the scheduled time and date at the centers mentioned on the website of the university.
  • Students will have to go to the Counselling centers with necessary documents that will be verified by the conducting body.
  • After the documents are verified, the aspirant will have to fill out an offline preference form.
  • The process of seat allotment will be done based on merit and preference of the program as chosen by them.
  • If an individual wish to accept the seat offered, he will have to report to the allotted college with the requisite tuition fees and complete the admission formalities.
