College Admission Scholarship Application (CASA)

Students who have passed their 12th grade as well as students who have completed their undergraduate program can apply for this scholarship. However, the catch is that the scholarship only holds true for admission into AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approved colleges and institutions. The upside is there are plenty of reputable colleges across the country which are AICTE approved. This scholarship grants students who have scored 75% and above in their 12th board exams various scholarship opportunities based on the information filled in the required application documents.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls

This particular scholarship is not much different from the CASA scholarship program. The main difference is that the Pragati Scholarship is only for girls and is provided to one girl per family whose income is less than 6 lakhs per annum. The similarity is that only AICTE approved institutions can be joined using this scholarship and that it is merit-based as well.

The scholarship requires the students to secure a minimum of 60% in their 12th standard and they must continue to score above 50% in their Undergraduate degree to keep availing the incentives each year.

North-South Foundation (NSF)

The NSF scholarship is available to students aspiring to pursue EngineeringMedical, or Polytechnic whose families have an annual income of 1 lakh or less. Although all students are eligible for this scholarship, students coming from government schools are given more priority. This scholarship will be void if the student has received aid or scholarship from other programs as well. It is a merit-based scholarship so it is mandatory for students to score ranks in competitive exams and gain admission into government or government-aided colleges.

Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST)

The NEST scholarship provides four different programs that are – NEST-SENIOR 1 and 2 as well as NEST-JUNIOR 1 and 2. While science stream students can apply either through NEST-SENIOR-1 or NEST-JUNIOR-2, students from other backgrounds can only apply for NEST-JUNIOR-2.
