Alliance University is a private university established in Karnataka State by Act No. 34 of 2010 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
Alliance reimagines the idea of the university by creating a community that leads the charge against the complex challenges of the 21st century. The university conceives research to be the essence of all teaching and learning practices. A unity between research and teaching is promoted to extend the frontiers of knowledge in order to solve real world problems at the local, national, and global scale. For this purpose, the university seeks to be the nerve centre of interaction between the industry, the government, the civil society, and the community at large.
In times when technological and social change is transforming the very idea of employability, the university embraces the increasing diversity of specializations while retaining the impulse to unify all knowledge.
A designed convergence of the business, engineering, law and liberal arts units precipitates transdisciplinarity as the core academic philosophy.
Freely working across divergent streams of knowledge like psychology and data science, technology and law, physics and philosophy or businesses and rhetoric, transdisciplinarity nurtures a dynamic foundation for the spirit of collaboration, inquiry, and enterprise.

PRESS NOTE
Arbitration and Conciliation Centre (Domestic and International), Bengaluru and Alliance University Sign Internship Collaboration Programme
The Arbitration and Conciliation Centre (Domestic and International), Bengaluru, an initiative under the aegis of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, and Alliance University signed an Internship Collaboration Programme (ICP) aimed at strengthening academic cooperation, research engagement, and skill development in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), particularly arbitration and conciliation.
The Memorandum was formally signed by Hon’ble Director Sri. Dinesh Hegde, District Judge, on behalf of the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre (Domestic and International), Bengaluru, and Hon’ble Registrar Dr. Matam Viswanathaiah on behalf of Alliance University. The collaboration seeks to provide law students with practical exposure to arbitration proceedings through internship opportunities, workshops, faculty development programmes, and institutional visits, thereby enhancing experiential learning in ADR.
The programme envisages cooperation in areas including internship opportunities for students, workshops on domestic and international arbitration, faculty development initiatives, institutional visits to the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre, and academic interactions between experts and students.
The event was attended by Ms. Surekha Shetty, Registrar General, Alliance University; Sri. Vignesh Kumar, Deputy Director, Arbitration and Conciliation Centre; Dr. V. Shyam Kishore, Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) and Dean, Alliance School of Law; Dr. Devaiah N. G., Professor and Program Director – UG, Alliance School of Law; Dr. Chandrashekhar K. E., Professor and Associate Director, Academic Operations; Dr. Jayashree T., Associate Professor; Prof. Vishal Ranaware, Assistant Professor and In-charge, Alliance Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ACADR); and Ms. Preeti Jain, Associate Director, Office of Career Advancement and Networking.

They further emphasised the growing importance and future of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), particularly arbitration, in the rapidly evolving legal and commercial landscape. With the increasing preference for efficient, cost-effective, and confidential dispute resolution mechanisms, arbitration is emerging as one of the most promising and dynamic areas of legal practice at both domestic and international levels.
The representatives also noted that such academic-industry collaborations would play a significant role in creating awareness, developing professional expertise among students, and promoting a robust ADR culture in India.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both institutions highlighted that the collaboration would bridge the gap between academic learning and practical exposure to dispute resolution mechanisms, thereby preparing students for emerging opportunities in arbitration and conciliation practice.
The initiative is expected to contribute meaningfully towards strengthening the arbitration ecosystem and expanding the ADR footprint in the country.

Alliance University will mark the launch of the Alliance University Quantum School for Advanced Research (AU-QUASAR) with Demystifying Quantum: An Executive Dialogue on Quantum Technologies and Deep-Tech, a gathering of leaders from science, academia, industry, and public policy.
The launch comes at a time when quantum technologies are beginning to shape global conversations on computing, security, research, and technological competitiveness.
