What's new at Uttaranchal University 2023?
In 2021, UU signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with various prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Uttarakhand, and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur to collaborate on academic and research initiatives.
The university also established a new Department of Architecture in 2021, which offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Architecture.
Additionally, the UU has been taking various initiatives to promote research and innovation among students and faculty. In 2021, Uttaranchal University launched a Research and Innovation Cell to support and encourage research activities in different disciplines.

Hostel For Male
Uttaranchal University a large percentage of students from different parts of the country live in on-campus hostels with attached Mess. We have built separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There is provision for single room, double room, three bed and four bed room. Each room is furnished with bed/beds, mattress, study table, chair and cupboard. There are spacious lawns within the hostel campus for the students to play different games or to take walk or recreate themselves. We ensure 24×7 electricity, internet connectivity through Wi-Fi, security and state-of-the-art plumbing. Great care is taken to maintain hygienic conditions and cleanliness. Hostels are spruced up with all the basic amenities and provide a pollution free environment to all incumbents. Hostel common rooms are fully equipped with HD TV network, indoor games, news papers and laundry staff. There is a separate group of hostel maintenance staff under the active supervision of the Chief Warden.
