The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is a major space research center of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), focusing on rocket and space vehicles for India's satellite programme. It is located in Thiruvananthapuram, in the Indian state of Kerala.

Latest Notification

ISRO VSSC releases notifications for the post of Fireman in March-April every year. The exam is conducted offline once a year in bilingual mode.

Steps to apply:

Step 2: Click on the recruitment page and go to the registration section.

Step 3: Give your e-mail id and other details.

Step 4: Once the registration is complete, you will receive an email where a link to complete the application process will be given.

Step 5: Click on the link given in the mail.

Step 6: Upload the photo, and signature and give the essential detail like qualifications and other personal details.

Step 7: Before final submission, review the given details.

Step 8: Pay the application fee For Fireman. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the application form for future reference.

The educational qualification for ISRO Fireman is matriculation. However, candidates of higher degrees are also eligible to apply.

Exam Pattern

ISRO Fireman Preliminary Medical Test 2022

A preliminary Medical Test (PMT) is the initial selection process. Upon qualifying for this test candidates are called for the next process. Height, weight, and visibility tests are conducted under Preliminary Medical Test (PMT).

ISRO Fireman Physical Efficiency Test 2022

The candidates must fulfill the physical efficiency requirements to be eligible for the ISRO Fireman post. The table is given below consists of events that are conducted during the Physical Efficiency Test.

Note:

Male candidates are required to run 1500 meters in 7 minutes. The age limit for his test is up to 40 years. Candidates above 40 years are given 8 minutes to complete 1500 meters.
Female candidates are required to 800 meters in 4 minutes. Female candidates up to 40 years of age are eligible to appear for this test. Female candidates above 40 years must complete 800 meters in 5 minutes.

ISRO Fireman Detailed Medical Examination 2022

Upon qualifying for the Detailed Medical Examination, the eligible candidates will appear for the written exam. Therefore, the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) is mandatory to clear.

ISRO Fireman Written Exam 2022

The written test is conducted in offline mode. The questions are of objective type and each section carries a different weightage of marks.

The written test comprises four subjects.
