NCHMCT stands for the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, that oversees the regulation, development, and promotion of hospitality education in the country. National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to various hospitality and hotel management programs offered by its affiliated institutions, including the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, and Food Technology. What is NCHMCT?
NCHMCT stands for the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, that oversees the regulation, development, and promotion of hospitality education in the country. NCHMCT conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to various hospitality and hotel management programs offered by its affiliated institutions, including the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, and Food Technology. Application Form
The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology conducts a joint entrance examination for admission to its various programs. To apply for the exam, you will need to fill out the application form.

- Visit the official website of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/).
- Click on the "Fill Application Form" button.
- Register by providing your name, mobile number, email ID, and date of birth. A system-generated Application Number will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form with the required details, such as personal information, academic details, and contact information.
- Upload the scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph, signature, and other required documents.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway using your credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Verify all the details filled in the application form before submitting it.
- Click on the "Submit" button.
- Take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.

Registration
The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs in hospitality and hotel management. Here are the steps to register for the NCHMCT JEE:
- Visit the official website of NCHMCT (https://nchmjee.nta.nic.in/).Click on the "Fill Application Form" link.
- Register yourself by entering your Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Security Pin. Click on the "Submit" button.
- An Application Number and Password will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
- Login with the Application Number and Password.
- Fill in the application form by entering your personal details, academic details, contact details, and other relevant information.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other relevant documents as per the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
- Check all the details carefully and click on the "Submit" button.
- Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of NCHMCT JEE 2025 is 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject. Read detailed criteria of the exam below:
Age limit: There is an upper age limit for the candidates. The age limit is a defined category wise, check below:
- Upper age limit for General, General (EWS) and OBC categories – 25 years as of July 01, 2025, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1997, are eligible
- SC, ST candidates and Physically challenged candidates – 25 years as of July 01, 2025, ie, candidates born on or after July 01, 1995, are eligible
Qualification: There are no minimum marks that candidates need in their qualifying exam. However, they need to fulfil the following conditions:
- Must have passed or must be appearing in 10+2.
- English must be a compulsory subject.
List of qualifying exams: The list of qualifying exams are as follows:
- Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised university.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University
- Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a foreign country that should be recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) / Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Application Fee
Application fee: The fee can be paid online using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net-Banking / UPI / Wallet. The application fee for NCHMCT JEE 2025 is as follows:

Reservation

NCHMCT JEE 2025 Merit List
The merit list is not displayed separately, rather the rank is shown to the candidates via the scorecard of NCHM JEE 2025. However, the ranking / merit of the candidates is decided based on the NTA score. In case, two or more candidates get the same score then, tie-breaking criteria is applied that is given below:
- Candidates securing higher marks in the English component of NCHM JEE shall rank higher.
- In case of candidates securing equal marks in NCHM-JEE, as well as in the English component of NCHM-JEE, then the
- candidate securing higher marks in the Service Aptitude Component of NCHM-JEE shall rank higher.
- If the tie is still there, then the candidate older in age shall rank higher.

There is no specific syllabus of NCHM JEE 2025 shared by NTA or the NCHM). However, based on the key indicative topics that are mentioned in the brochure of the exam and also as per the previous year question paper analysis, a list of topics from where the questions come majorly can be drawn.
