Eligibilty Criteria

It is important to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the CG TET2022. The candidate must be a citizen of India and must be a domicile of Chhattisgarh state to apply for CG TET 2022.

CG TET Eligibility Criteria: Age Criteria

There is no age limitation for the CG TET 2022 as long as the candidate fulfils the other eligibility conditions set by the authorities.

CG TET Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications

The educational qualifications required for the Paper-I and Paper-II of the CG TET 2022 are elaborated below.

Paper-I: For Teachers I-V class (Primary Level)

  • The applicants should have passed Class XII with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation in B.SC/ BA/ B. Ed. degree with at least 50% marks can apply for CG TET 2022. The students who are appearing in the Final Four Year Bachelor of Elementary Education/a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 2-year Diploma in Special Education can also apply for this exam.

Paper-II: For Teachers VI-VIII Class (Upper Primary Level)

  • The candidates who have completed their graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) are eligible to apply for CG TET 2022.
  • Those who have completed their graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/ passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • The candidates who have completed their Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and passed/ appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) can also apply for CG TET 2022.
Exam Pattern

CG TET 2022 exam consists of two papers in order to recruit the teachers at various levels of schooling:

  1. CG TET Paper-I (For candidates who wish to become a Primary Teacher, i.e, from Class I-V.)
  2. CG TET Paper-II (For candidates who wish to become an Upper Primary Teacher, i.e, Class VI-VIII)

The candidates can appear for either Paper-I or Paper-II or both the papers depending on the eligibility criteria. The CG TET Exam Pattern is discussed below in a detailed manner:
