The ICMR Assistant Recruitment Exam is conducted by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), Delhi in collaboration with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. This exam is conducted for the recruitment of assistants (Grade-B, Level-6) in the ICMR headquarters and regional institutes or centers all over India.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is expected to release the notification for the ICMR Assistant post in November 2022.

Registration

ICMR Assistant Registration Process

The interested candidates will have to go through the following process to get themselves registered.

They will have to visit the ICMR official website and click on the register option.
A drop-down menu will appear and the candidates will have to select ICMR Assistant ( Group B)
Click on apply to access the PDF notification and application form for Assistant (Group B).
Fill in all the mandatory details asked like name, email id, date of birth, mobile number, etc, and submit to register.
Once the registration is done, a User ID and Password will be sent through the mail and the provided mobile number.

ICMR Assistant Application Form

When the interested candidates have registered themselves for the ICMR Assistant and have received the user id and password, then they can start filling up the application form. They will have to go through the following steps:

Visit the official website and log in using the user id and password.
Start filling up the application form will all the details asked and mainly the mandatory fields like category, father’s name, gender, educational details, etc.
The next step would be to attach the mandatory documents like the SSC certificate, category certificate, etc.
Then upload the recent passport size photograph and signature in the size and format asked.
Review the application form for the last time and make changes if there are any mistakes and submit.
Now you will be redirected to the payment gateway website for paying the application fees. Pay the application fees online through card, wallet, UPI, or offline through NEFT/ RTGS.
Then take a printout of the application form and the payment receipt for future reference.

The exam will be of 80 MCQ questions with 80 marks, which needs to be completed in 1hr 20min duration.
It will consist of questions from General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Langauge.
Each question will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
