Eligibilty Criteria

The BSF Head Constable Eligibility Criteria 2022 has not been released yet. Till the release of the official notification, candidates can follow the eligibility criteria of the last year i.e. 2020 Not many changes are expected in the BSF eligibility criteria so candidates can follow last year's data for the same.

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for BSF Head Constable to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria have three components: Educational Qualification, Physical Standards, and Age limit.

BSF Head Constable Educational Qualifications

Candidates aspiring to become Head Constable upon the qualification of the BSF Head Constable Examination should possess the following educational qualifications.

  • Candidate must possess 10th pass or equivalent 2 years degree or ITI in General Electronics/ Radio and Television/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant and so.


  • Candidates have a degree of 12th pass or equivalent in subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Age Limit

BSF Head Constable Age Limit 2022

The candidates need to be aware of the Age limit which is defined by the BSF for the recruitment of Head Constable 2022. They can get an idea of the age limit from the previous data available on the official notification:

  • Minimum age limit: 18 years of age
  • Maximum age limit: 25 years of age.

Candidates can apply for the post of BSF Head Constable till they reach the age of 25 years as per the notification. As there is no maximum or a minimum number of attempts for this exam.

BSF Head Constable Age Relaxation

The age relaxation for BSF Head Constable is provided as per the government norms for the reserved categories in the upper age limit. Before applying for the post, candidates must be aware of the age limit and age relaxation as per the instructions.

For the recruitment of Head Constable, BSF specifies some of the crucial physical standards which the aspirants have to be met to qualify for the selection. All the required standards are tabulated below:

Exam Pattern

Selection of BSF Head Constable is done through three levels including Written examination, Physical Standards, and Medical Examination. The exam pattern for the Written examination of BSF Head Constable is tabulated below:
