Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates can find the conditions and requirements that the candidates have to meet to participate in the admission process through AP PGECET eligibility criteria. The authorities have released the AP PGECET 2022 eligibility criteria on the official website. Candidates not complying with the eligibility criteria of AP PGECET 2022 will not be allowed to participate in the examination process. AP PGECET eligibility criteria for 2022 are enlisted below:

  • Age – Candidates should not be younger than 21 years of age. The authorities have not enunciated any upper age limit for AP PGECET 2022.

  • Nationality – The candidates should be of Indian nationality.

  • Domicile – The candidates applying for the AP PGECET exam 2022 should be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

  • Academic Qualifications – They must have passed the qualifying examination i.e., B.E./ B.Tech successfully.

  • Marks Required – The candidates belonging to the general category are required to secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam, whereas the candidates of reserved categories have to score 40%.

  • GATE – Direct admissions will be offered for GATE qualified candidates

Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for the AP PGECET 2022 exam should be aware of the exam pattern and be familiarized with the examination. The AP PGECET exam pattern reflects the mode of exam, types of questions asked, duration, and more. The authorities have released the AP PGECET 2022 exam pattern along with the official notification. The exam pattern will help the candidates to plan their preparation strategy. Given below are the details about the exam pattern of AP PGECET:

  • Mode of Exam – Online - Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration – AP PGECET will be conducted for 2 Hours (i.e. 120 minutes)
  • Languages in which the exam is held – English
  • Nature of Questions – Objective - Multiple Choice Questions
  • Total Number of Questions – 120 Questions
  • Marking Scheme – For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded. There is no provision for negative marking.

Admit Card

  • AP PGECET 2022 Admit Card is issued by Andhra University to the candidates who have successfully applied for the exam.
  • AP PGECET Admit Card includes all the important details so it is essential to carry it while going to attend the exam.
  • Candidates who are not able to produce their admit cards on the day of the exam will not be allowed to enter the AP PGECET 2022 Exam hall.

How to Download?
Mentioned below steps to download the Admit Card:

  • Step 1: Candidates must first visit the AP PGECET 2022 Official Website.
  • Step 2: Candidates must then click on the ‘Download AP PGECET Hall Ticket’ tab, which will take them to another page.
  • Step 3: Candidates must then enter their AP PGECET 2022 Registration No. and select the paper they are appearing for, as mentioned in their AP PGECET Application Form.
  • Step 4: Candidates must then click on the ‘Submit’ tab, which will take them to their official AP PGECET 2022 Admit Card.
  • Step 5: Candidates must then click on the view and save AP PGECET 2022 Admit Card button.
  • Step 6: After saving their AP PGECET Admit Card, candidates must take a clear, visible printout for future references.

Candidates who qualify for AP PGECET 2022 will be able to participate in the counselling process. AP PGECET counselling dates 2022 will be released online at the official website. The authorities shall open an online registration portal for GATE and AP PGECET qualified aspirants separately. Candidates will have to pay the counselling participation fee through net banking/ credit card/ debit card. Afterwards, they will have to log in using their hall ticket number and rank to pay the counselling fee (Rs. 1000 for OC/BC and Rs. 600 for SC/ST).

Candidates will have to report to their designated centre and show the transaction  ID to proceed with the verification of documents. Once the document verification is completed, candidates will receive a login ID. After logging in, candidates have to do the choice filling for colleges and courses in the order of preference.

AP PGECET seat allotment will be done on the basis of the candidate’s rank and preferences made during choice filling. Candidates will have to report to the institute allotted and pay the requisite fee to confirm their admission.


Candidates will be able to check AP PGECET 2022 results online mode. The marks secured by candidates along with the qualifying status in AP PGECET 2022 we are informed through the result. Based on the scores obtained by candidates, the AP PGECET rank card 2022 will be prepared. Ranks are allotted specifically to those candidates who meet the AP PGECET 2022 qualifying percentage marks i.e., 25%. It may be noted that there is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST category candidates.

How to check AP PGECET Result 2022?

  • Candidates have to enter their AP PGECET registration number and hall ticket number.
  • Click on the “View Result” button
  • AP PGECET result shall appear on the screen
  • The candidates will have to download and print out the result.

AP PGECET Rank Card Download Steps

  • Visit sche.ap.gov.in/pgecet.
  • Click on the link to “Rank Card”.
  • Enter registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth.
  • Click on the “Login” button.
  • The rank card shall appear on the screen.
  • Download the rank card and take a printout.

Answer Key

Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati will release the preliminary AP PGECET 2022 answer key online at the official website. All the correct answers to the questions asked in the PGECET 2022 examination are provided through the answer key. Candidates will also be allowed to raise objections against the AP PGECET answer key for a specific time. Through the AP PGECET 2022 answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores before the result is officially announced. During the calculation period, the candidates have to follow the official marking scheme. After considering all the objections raised by the students, the authorities will release the final AP PGECET answer key in 2022.


The range of marks or ranks within which admissions will be served through PGECET 2022 shall serve as the cutoff marks. It served as the screening process for admissions into the AP PGECET participating institutes. The minimum marks required by candidates for PG admissions in Andhra Pradesh will be present in the AP PGECET cutoff 2022. The authorities shall release a separate cutoff for GATE and AP PGECET 2022 qualified candidates. It will also be different depending upon the institute and courses selected by the candidates.
