Eligibilty Criteria

The eligibility criteria of UPPSC GIC Lecturer Recruitment Exam 2022 have not been announced yet. It is assumed to remain the same as it was in the previous years. Some of the educational and age-wise eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet in order to sit for the exam are given below.

UPPSC GIC Educational Qualifications 2022

Applying candidates must have the minimum educational qualification of a Postgraduate Master’s degree in a relevant subject from any recognized board or university.

UPPSC GIC Age Limit 2022

The minimum age for applying candidates is 21 years and the maximum age is 40 years as of 1st July 2022. Applications with birthdates before 2nd July 1982, or after 1st July 1999 shall not be eligible for the selection process.

Exam Pattern

The UPPSC GIC Lecturer Exam is conducted in two parts – the Prelims and the Mains. In order to score good marks in both stages, candidates must be thorough about the exam pattern. Given below is a detailed study of the exam pattern in both the stages of the UPPSC GIC Lecturer Exam.

UPPSC GIC Lecturer Prelims Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern is given below:

  • The total marks of the Prelims Exam are 300.
  • The total number of questions shall be 120 where 80 questions are from the Optional subject and 40 questions are from General Studies.
  • The subjects conducted in the Prelims Exam are General Studies and an Optional Subject.
  • It is a 2 hours exam.

UPPSC GIC Lecturer Mains Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern is given below:

  • The total marks of the Mains Exam are 400.
  • The two subjects conducted in Mains are General Hindi and Essay and an Optional Subject.
  • The optional subject must be the subject the candidate desires to teach as a Lecturer.
