Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
Candidates Must Be One Of The Following:

A Citizen Of India, Or
A Subject Of Nepal, Or
A Subject Of Bhutan, Or
A Tibetan Refugee Who Came To India Before January 1, 1962, With The Intention Of Permanently Settling In India, Or
A Person Of Indian Origin Who Has Migrated From Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, And East African Countries Of Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic Of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, And Ethiopia, Or Vietnam, With The Intention Of Permanently Settling In India.
Gender:
Only Unmarried Male Candidates Are Eligible For Nda.

Age Limit:

For The Air Force And Naval Wings Of Nda And For The 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme At The Indian Naval Academy, Candidates Must Have Studied Physics And Mathematics At The 10+2 Level.
Physical Standards:
Candidates Must Meet Specific Physical Standards Set By The Nda. These Standards Include Criteria Related To Height, Weight, Chest Girth, And Visual Standards. These Standards Are Subject To Change And Are Detailed In The Official Notification.

Marital Status:

1. Written Examination:

Subjects: The Written Examination Consists Of Two Papers – Mathematics And General Ability Test (gat).

Mathematics Paper:

Duration: 2.5 Hours
Maximum Marks: 300
Content: The Mathematics Paper Evaluates A Candidate’s Knowledge Of Mathematics Topics Up To The 10+2 Level. It Includes Topics Such As Algebra, Matrices And Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Vector Algebra, And Statistics.

General Ability Test (gat):

Duration: 2.5 Hours
Maximum Marks: 600
Content: The Gat Paper Consists Of Two Parts – Part A And Part B.
Part A: English (maximum Marks – 200)
Part B: General Knowledge (maximum Marks – 400)
The Gat Paper Assesses A Candidate’s General Knowledge, Including Subjects Like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, Current Affairs, And English Comprehension.

Negative Marking: There Is Negative Marking In The Nda Exam. For Each Incorrect Answer, One-third (0.33) Of The Marks Assigned To That Question Will Be Deducted.

SSB Interview:

After Qualifying In The Written Examination, Candidates Are Called For The Service Selection Board (ssb) Interview.
The Ssb Interview Process Includes Various Stages Such As The Intelligence And Personality Test, Psychological Test, Group Testing Officer Tasks, And Interview.
The Ssb Interview Aims To Assess The Candidate’s Potential And Suitability For A Career In The Armed Forces. It Includes Both Psychological And Physical Tests.

Medical Examination:

Candidates Who Clear The Ssb Interview Are Subjected To A Thorough Medical Examination To Ensure They Meet The Required Medical Standards For Service In The Army, Navy, Or Air Force.
