NDA 2023 Exam Pattern

The UPSC sets the guidelines for the NDA 2023 exam. According to the NDA exam format, the NDA 2023 exam will be given offline, and all of the questions will be of the MCQ variety. Both Hindi and English are used for the exam. Candidates must attempt the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Mathematics portions. Exam Pattern 2023: Marking Scheme

NDA consists of two parts – Mathematics and General Aptitude Test. Candidates can check previous years NDA written exam cut off. The mathematics section has a total of 120 questions carrying 300 marks. All questions are worth 2.5 points, awarded only for choosing the correct answer. 0.83 points will be deducted for each wrong answer. The general aptitude test contains 600 points; 200 points are awarded for English and 400 points for general knowledge. This section has a total of 150 questions, 50 on English and 100 on General Knowledge. Candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer in this section. 1.33 points will be deducted for each wrong answer. No points are awarded for unanswered questions.

SSB Interview Pattern

The NDA SSB interview format is designed so that the interview will last five days. Look at the table below for the weighting of the marks:

SSB Interview: Stage I

The Officer’s Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test and the Picture Perception and Description Test (PP and DT) are the two examinations that are included in SSB Interview Stage 1. The Stage II interview procedure will only be open to qualifying applicants.

Type of Questions Asked in NDA Exam?

NDA will primarily include questions from the General Ability and Mathematics areas. Most of the questions will be at the 10+2 level. The applicants can assess their readiness by completing practice questions and consulting the answer keys. Candidates must prepare fully in all areas of mathematics, including computation, measurement, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, etc. It’s critical to prepare thoroughly for both the English and General Knowledge subsections of the general ability section. Candidates must concentrate on their grammar, comprehension, and reading skills for the English section. Questions about general knowledge can be asked about current events, general science, history, physics, chemistry, etc. The division of the two NDA Exam portions is shown below. NDA Exam Syllabus

The NDA syllabus is split into two sections, Mathematics and General Ability Tests. Questions on a variety of subjects, including general knowledge (GK), English, chemistry, physics, geography, general science, and current events, will be included in the general ability test.

The majority of the NDA exam’s questions, particularly those in mathematics, will be from the 10+2 levels. Candidate preparation for the General Ability test portion should include daily newspaper reading.

The written exam and the SSB interview are both requirements of the NDA selection procedure, and candidates must show up for both. Both stages follow different patterns. Every candidate who wants to pass the NDA exam has to be familiar with each stage’s format so they may appropriately plan their exam preparation. Educational and other certifications must be submitted by candidates who are selected for the SSB interview. If they were unable to submit them, their application will be rejected.
