About
India Post is also known as a post office and is under the Ministry of Communication and Department of Posts. The headquarter of Indian Post is located in New Delhi. The full form of GDS is Gramin Dak Sevak.
The main aim of India Post Dak Sevak is handling different works in the postal department, such as the sale of stationery and stamps, the delivery and transport of mail, and other duties were given to the /Sub Postmaster/ RMS by Postmaster/ Departmental Post Offices, including IPPB.
Latest Notification
The India Post Gram Dak Sevak 2022 has released the notification for recruitment to fill up the post of various vacancies like Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Postman, MTS, Postal Assistant, Mail Guard, Sorting Assistant, etc in many states.
The online registration will begin from the 2nd week of July 2022. The last date to apply for India Post Gram Dak Sevak 2022 is the last week of July.

The steps to apply for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak 2022 are mentioned in the below points:
- Step 1: Go to the official website of India Post i.e www.appost.in
- Step 2: Go to the registration link and click on the tab "Registration." Enter the required details like Name, Gender, Mobile Number, Category, Date of Birth, etc.
- Step 3: A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number for verification. A unique registration number will also be generated,
- Step 4: Candidates need to pay the application fees through offline or online mode. To pay the application fee offline, the candidate needs to visit the head post office.
- Step 5: by using the registration number and either detail, candidates need to fill the Gramin Dak Sevak 2022 online application form.
- Step 6: Upload documents like educational certificates, signatures, photos, etc in the given format.
- Step 7: Proceed with the button "Submit Details" to submit.
- Step 8: For future references take a printout of the application form of India Post GDS and save it.

Eligibility Criteria
For all the GDS posts, the candidate must have knowledge of cycling which is one of the essential prerequisites. Candidates must have complete knowledge of reading communicating, and writing in the local language of the respective states or Union Territories.

India Post GDS Eligibility: Educational Qualification
- Aspirants who want to apply for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) have to clear their 10th standard examination with pass marks in English and Mathematics from any recognized board
- The candidate should have studied the local language and must have a compulsory knowledge of the local language at least up to the 10th standard.
- To apply for the GDS's post, candidates must possess a basic certificate of Computer Training Course of a duration of 60 days from any Computer Training Institute run by State Government/ Central Government/ Boards/ Organizations/ Private Institutions.
India Post GDS Age Limit and Relaxation
- To apply for the post of Gram Dak Sevak, the minimum age limit of a candidate shouldn't be less than 18years.
- The maximum age limit is 40 years old. The candidate shouldn't exceed 40 years old to apply for the post.
