Movie Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, released in 2002 featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit as leads. This movie focuses on Major depressive disorder (MDD). It is also known as clinical depression that is not taken into account and generally neglected. Under this condition, the person believes that life is not worth the fight and living. There is a constant sense of doom surrounding the person in this condition. Diagnosis is generally done by the patient’s experience and mental ability tests. In this movie, the lead character gets into depression due to the lost love of his life. He possesses drinking problems due to this incident. In the end, his death takes place in front of the house of his love of life. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 185 minutes. This is one of most different approach made to understand the mental disorders in Bollywood movies.
Krazzy 4
Movie Directed by Jaideep Sen, released in 2008 featuring Juhi Chawla, Arshad Warsi, Irrfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Suresh Menon, and Dia Mirza as leads. This movie includes various disorders seen in human beings like Intermittent Explosive Disorder (temper problem), schizophrenic, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, and Selective Mutism. There are four main characters having these disorders and struggling in their lives. They all have a common doctor, who gets kidnapped while they were waiting for her in a car. One having Selective Mutism saw the face of one of the kidnappers and files a complaint. These four patients make a plan and save the doctor from the kidnappers. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 112 minutes. It is a very entertaining movie showing the problems these patients face.
