Assam CEE 2023

Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for admission into various engineering courses offered by the colleges and institutions in Assam.

Assam CEE 2023 exam is expected to be conducted in the month of June 2023 in offline mode. The exam is conducted in two papers, and both papers are mandatory for all candidates. The duration of each paper is 2 hours. The exam pattern is as follows:

How to fill Assam CEE application form 2023:

The Assam CEE application form 2023 will be available on the official website of the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). Here are the steps to fill the application form:

Visit the official website of ASTU at www.astu.ac.in.

Click on the “Admission” tab on the homepage and select the “CEE” option.

Look for the Assam CEE notification 2023 and click on the “Apply Now” button.

Fill in the required details in the application form, such as personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.

Upload the scanned copy of your recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

Pay the application fee online through net banking, debit/credit card, or any other mode of payment as specified in the notification.

Review the details filled in the application form and click on the “Submit” button.

Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

The syllabus for Assam CEE 2023 consists of the following subjects:

Physics: Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices.

Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals), Some p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry-Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Mathematics: Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction, Binomial Theorem and Its Simple Applications, Sequences and Series, Limits and Continuity, Differential Equations, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Trigonometry, Mathematical Reasoning, Co-ordinate Geometry.

Exam Pattern of Assam Common Entrance Examination 2023

The exam pattern of Assam CEE 2023 is as follows:

  • Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen and Paper-based)
  • Duration: 2 hours for each paper
  • Language of Exam: English and Assamese
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Number of Papers: 2 papers (Paper 1 – Physics and Chemistry, Paper 2 – Mathematics)
  • Total Marks: 300 marks (150 marks for each paper)
  • Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

The distribution of questions and marks for each paper is as follows:

Paper 1: Physics and Chemistry

  • Number of Questions: 100 questions (50 questions from each subject)
  • Total Marks: 100 marks (50 marks for each subject)

Paper 2: Mathematics

  • Number of Questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks

In order to qualify for admission to engineering courses in colleges and institutions in Assam, candidates must appear for both papers of the Assam CEE 2023 exam. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the exam pattern and syllabus before preparing for the exam. Eligibility Criteria for Assam Common Entrance Examination 2023

The eligibility criteria for Assam CEE 2023 are as follows:

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and must have studied in any recognized educational institution in Assam for at least the last three years.

Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 17 years of age or more than 24 years of age as on 31st December 2023. However, there is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board or university. The candidate should also have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination.

Physical Fitness: The candidate should be medically fit and should satisfy the physical fitness criteria as prescribed by the concerned authority.
