The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is a statutory body responsible for administering three social security schemes. Specifically, the EPF Scheme provides retirement benefits through contributions from both the employer and employee. Similarly, the EPS is a pension scheme that provides a pension to employees after retirement, and the EDLI Scheme offers life insurance coverage. All schemes are mandatory for establishments with 20 or more employees. Additionally, EPFO provides online services such as EPF balance check, claim status check, UAN activation, and KYC details updating.
