NLSIU 2023 Exam Pattern

The NLSIU 2023 exam pattern includes the mode of examination, duration, sections, and total marks. The exam is conducted in offline mode, and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. The question paper consists of multiple-choice questions, and there is negative marking for wrong answers. The exam is divided into three sections: English Language, Legal Reasoning, and General Knowledge.

The English Language section consists of questions related to reading comprehension, vocabulary and grammar. The Legal Reasoning section tests the candidate’s ability to analyze legal issues and apply legal principles to given fact situations. The General Knowledge section includes questions from current affairs, general science, and social studies.

NLSIU stands for National Law School of India University.

Admission to NLSIU is based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) followed by counseling.

The NLSIU application process usually starts in January or February every year.

To be eligible for NLSIU, a candidate must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. There is also an age limit of 20 years for general category candidates and 22 years for SC/ST candidates.

CLAT is a 2-hour long online examination with 150 multiple-choice questions. The questions are divided into five sections – English Language, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
