UPSEE stands for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh, for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the colleges/institutes affiliated to AKTU. The exam is conducted once a year and is usually held in the month of April/May. UPSEE is a gateway for admission into courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, etc.

UPSEE 2023 Exam Pattern

The UPSEE 2023 exam pattern is an important aspect that aspirants should be aware of before appearing for the entrance exam . It provides them with the structure of the exam, which includes the number of questions, duration of the exam, mode of exam, and marking scheme. Here’s the exam pattern for UPSEE 2023:

  • The UPSEE 2023 exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) for all papers except Paper 9 (Aptitude Test for Architecture), which will be conducted in online mode.
  • The exam will consist of objective-type questions with multiple-choice options.
  • The total number of questions and marks for each paper are different, as mentioned below in the table.
  • For each correct answer, four marks will be awarded, and for each incorrect answer, no marks will be deducted.
  • The duration of the exam is three hours, except for Paper 9, which has a duration of two and a half hours.

UPSEE Syllabus 2023 FAQs
