IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2024

IBPS Clerk Age Limit: Candidates between 20 and 28 years are eligible for the exam

MS office Certificate is enough to apply for IBPS Clerk exam. The eligibility criteria prescribed for IBPS Clerk exam is between 20 and 28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories. Candidates who have completed graduation can apply for the exam. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for the exam. Candidates must have proficiency in the official language of the state/UT for which vacancies they wish to apply.

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk is Graduation. Final year candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computers. They must have either a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Candidates must have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply for is preferable. Candidates must meet the educational qualification fixed by the examination authority for appearing in the exam.

  • Final-year students cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam. Candidates need to have graduation mark sheet on the date of application. As per the notification, the minimum qualification require candidates to have a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Candidates between 20 and 28 Years can apply for the IBPS Clerk post. There are certain age relaxations given to candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the official notification, Candidates belonging to some category are given age relaxation like SC/ST (predetermined caste/predetermined tribe) 5 years, OBC (another backward classes-non-cream tier) 3 years, Disabled (PwD) 10 years Former service staff, including Emergency Situation Officer (ECO)/Short Service Officer (SSCO).
  • IBPS Clerk vacancies are announced along with the notification for different states, banks and states. For the 2022 IBPS Clerk exam 6035 vacancies are announced.
