UKPSC Civil Judge 2023

Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Civil Judge is an exam conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) for the recruitment of Civil Judges (Junior Division) in the Uttarakhand Higher Judicial Services. The exam is conducted in three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Personal Interview.

It is important to note that candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Exam will be eligible to appear for the Main Exam. Similarly, candidates who qualify in the Main Exam will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview round, based on their performance in the exam.

To be eligible for UKPSC Civil Judge, candidates must have a degree in Law from a recognized university and should also be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates, Act 1961. The age limit for the exam is between 22 to 35 years, with relaxation in the upper age limit provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

The application process for UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam is expected to be conducted online on the official website of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (Uttarakhand Public Service Commission). Here are the steps to fill the application form:

Register as a new user: Click on the link for the UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 application form and register as a new user by providing your basic details like name, email ID, mobile number, etc. An email and SMS will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number containing your login credentials.

Login to your account: Log in to your account using the credentials sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.

Fill in the application form: Fill in the application form with all the required details like personal information, educational qualifications, work experience, etc.

Upload documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents as per the specified format and size.

Syllabus for Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Civil Judge 2023

The syllabus for UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam is as follows:

  1. Preliminary Exam:
  • Law: Indian Contract Act, Indian Partnership Act, Sale of Goods Act, Indian Penal Code, Indian Evidence Act, and Constitution of India.
  • General Knowledge: Current events of national and international importance, history of India, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India, and Sports.
  1. Main Exam:
  • Civil Law-I: Code of Civil Procedure, Indian Evidence Act, Indian Contract Act, Hindu Law, Muslim Law, and Partnership Act.
  • Civil Law-II: Law of Transfer of Property, Law of Trusts and Specific Relief, Law of Limitation, and Registration Act.
  • Criminal Law: Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Evidence Act, and Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
  • English Language: Essay Writing, Precis Writing, Comprehension, Translation from Hindi to English, and Translation from English to Hindi.

Exam Pattern of UKPSC Civil Judge 2023

The exam pattern for UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam is as follows:

  1. Preliminary Exam:
  • The preliminary exam will be objective type with multiple-choice questions.
  • The exam will consist of two papers – Law and General Knowledge.
  • Each paper will be of 100 marks, and candidates will have 2 hours to complete each paper.
  • Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main exam.
  1. Main Exam:
  • The main exam will consist of four papers – Civil Law-I, Civil Law-II, Criminal Law, and English Language.
  • Each paper will be of 200 marks, and candidates will have 3 hours to complete each paper.
  • The main exam will be descriptive type, and candidates will have to answer the questions in a descriptive manner.
  • Candidates who qualify the main exam will be eligible for the interview round.
  1. Interview:
  • The interview round will be of 100 marks, and candidates will be evaluated on their personality, communication skills, and knowledge of the subject.

Eligibility Criteria for UKPSC Civil Judge 2023

The eligibility criteria for UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam is as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification:
  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates should also have knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.
  1. Age Limit:
  • Candidates should be between 22 to 35 years of age as on 1st January 2023.
  • However, there are age relaxations available for reserved categories as per the government norms.
  1. Nationality:
  • Candidates should be Indian citizens.

UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 accepting Collage

The UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam will be accepting applications from candidates who have completed their LLB degree from any recognized university or institution. As long as the candidate’s institution is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Bar Council of India (BCI), their application will be considered eligible.

Therefore, candidates who have completed their LLB degree from any college or university recognized by the UGC or the BCI can apply for the UKPSC Civil Judge 2023 exam, provided they fulfill all the other eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification.
