The following are some of the do’s and don’ts that the candidates must remember on the CAT 2023 exam day:


  • Carry the CAT 2023 Admit Card printed on an A4 size sheet.
  • Carry the self-declaration form.
  • Paste your passport-size photograph on the admit card.
  • Visit the CAT exam center before the exam is conducted.
  • Use the washroom before the test begins as no bio-breaks are allowed thereafter.
  • Carry the disability certificate if applicable.


  • Do not carry electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, wristbands, and cameras as they are strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates are advised not to wear any metallic jewelry.
  • Candidates with implants such as pacemakers or metallic devices are requested to bring proper medical certificates for verification.
  • Candidates are not allowed to wear footwear beyond the frisking point.
  • Except for the ones mentioned, stationery items are not allowed in the CAT examination hall.

CAT 2023 Documents Required: Important Guidelines

Here are the guidelines to follow for candidates appearing in CAT 2023:

  • Arrive at the CAT 2023 test centre according to the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
  • It is advisable to visit the CAT exam center at least one day in advance using the Google Maps link provided on the admit card.
  • Carry two printed copies of the CAT 2023 admit card on A4 size sheets.
