Right-wing student group the ABVP is well-known for its Hindutva philosophy. On college campuses, it has been charged with taking part in acts of violence and situations involving the community. The ABVP, however, also describes itself as a nationalist movement dedicated to the advancement of young.

The ABVP is not the only student group in India having ties to a political party or way of thinking. Campus

The old campus in Cuttack and the new campus in Naraj are the two campuses that make up the university. The former campus is a 45-minute drive from the Bhubaneswar airport and is situated in the center of Cuttack. On the banks of the Mahanadi River, a brand-new campus is currently being built. The academic and administrative buildings, as well as the dorms, library, and athletic facilities, are all located on the historic campus, which is around 87 acres in size. About 140 acres will be devoted to the new campus, which will also house the research and development facilities in addition to the new academic buildings. A handful of colonial-era buildings can be found on the old campus as a reflection of the university’s lengthy history.
