Introduction

The bachelor’s degree in Aviation is the studies within the aviation industry. It takes on an average of 4-6 years for completion. There are multiple areas for courses to get into the aviation program. On average, in India, the BBA Aviation course takes 3 years of the time interval.

The degrees involve a lot sort of industry who offers a job. These degrees involve engineering, electronics, flying aircraft, managing air traffic, aircraft maintenance, aviation businesses, airport and airline management, aircraft dispatching. Careers also involved pilots, air traffic control, and many more.

BBA in Business Management

The course takes 3 years of duration, where the student needs to have a minimum of 50% of marks in class 12th from any stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Administration, Airport manager, Staff Manager.

Diploma Airport Management

The course takes 1 year of duration and the student needs to be cleared in 12th class and can belong to any stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Assistant Manager, Airport Manager.

Commercial Pilot Training

The course takes 4 to 5 years which depends on the flying hours. The student needs to have cleared class 12th with 45-50% marks having PCM stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Ferry Pilot, Commercial Pilot.

Diploma in Ground Staff and Cabin Crew Training

The course takes 6 months to 1 year. The student must have cleared class 12th and can belong to any stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Air Hostess, Steward, and Frond-end office operator.

Diploma in Aviation Hospitality

The course takes 1 year. The student from all the streams can apply after class 12th. The job roles offered after the graduation are Cabin Crew, Office Operators, and Ground Staff.

Aeronautical Engineering

The course takes 4 years. The student should have secured 60% marks from the PCM stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Research and Development Engineer, Chief Engineer, Design Engineer.

M.Sc. in Aviation

The course takes 3 years. The student should have 50% marks in 12th in PCM stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Air traffic controller, Safety manager.

Diploma in Air fare and ticketing management

The course takes 6 months to 1 year. The student should have cleared class 12th from any stream. The job roles offered after the graduation are Airline Customer Care operator, ticketing.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

The course takes 3 years including 6 months of training. The student should have cleared 12th with 50% marks from PCM stream. The job roles offered after the graduation is of Maintenance Engineer.

How to become commercial pilot in India?

Choosing a career as a commercial pilot is not only challenging but also a rewarding one. Piloting is always considered to be an interesting and aspiring job for the students.

A career as a pilot not only serves a high salary but also builds new experience and exposure.  For becoming a pilot, the student needs to get the license and get a trainee.

A commercial pilot is a highly skilled professional who flies an aeroplane, helicopter for business purposes which may include flying off the passengers or cargo, emergency rescue, evacuation operations, and many more.

The courses and eligibility for commercial pilots-

  • For becoming a Commercial Pilot, he must have a Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • The CPL is given by the authority of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
  • The candidate must have passed class 12th.
  • The student needs to join in a pilot training course in a DGCA-approved institution.
  • Whoever wants to join in DGCA must have cleared the written test.
  • Along with the written test, the candidates must be medically fit as per DGCA class I medical assessment rules.
  • If someone has not obtained Commercial Pilot License, They must have completed 200 hours of flying.
  • After that, it is mandatory to pass the theory paper of CPL.

They are also called Flight Training Organizations or FTOs. FTOs have been approved by DGCA and their training staff, including the Flight Instructor, is also appointed by the DGCA.
