Eligibilty Criteria

IBPS SO Eligibility: Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for IBPS SO is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years. There are certain relaxations to the same which will be duly mentioned, wherein the maximum age is increased for candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Relaxation in IBPS SO Age Limit:

  • The relaxation for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe is of 5 years.
  • The relaxation for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy Layer) is of 3 years.
  • The relaxation for persons with a benchmark disability is 10 years.
  • The relaxation for candidates who are ex-servicemen is 5 years.
  • The relaxations for candidates ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir between the dates 01/01/80 and 31/12/89 is of 5 years.
  • The relaxation for candidates affected by the 1984 riots is of 5 years.

IBPS SO Educational Qualification

The educational qualification to apply for the various post of IBPS SO are:

  • Four years of Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ IT/Electronics and Instrumentation/ Computer Application/Electronics and Communication Engineering, or
  • Master Degree in Computer Science/IT/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computer Application /Electronics and Telecommunication
  • Graduates have passed DOEACC ‘B’ level exam
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I)
  • Four years Bachelor degree in agriculture/ Animal Husbandry/ Horticulture/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Dairy Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing and cooperation/ Agro-Forestry/ Co-Operation and Banking
Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
  • Master’s in Hindi with English as a subject at the Graduation level, or
  • Master’s in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as a subject in Graduation
Law Officer (Scale I
  • A bachelor’s degree in Law
HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
  • Bachelor Degree and Full Time Post Graduate Degree,or
  • Full-time Diploma in Industrial Relation/ Personnel Management/ HR/ Social Work/ HRD/ Labour Law
Marketing Officer (Scale I)
  • Bachelor Degree and a Full-Time MBA (Marketing)/ MMS (Marketing)/ Full-time PGDM/ PGDBA with specialization in Marketing
