NATA(National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2023

NATA stands for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. It is a national-level examination conducted in India for admission to undergraduate programs in architecture. How to fill NATA application form 2023:

The application process for NATA 2023 will be announced by the Council of Architecture (COA) on their official website. Here are the general steps to fill the NATA application form:

Visit the official website of NATA 2023 and click on the “Registration” link.

Enter your basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, phone number, etc.

Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and size.

Choose your preferred exam center from the list of available centers.

Pay the application fee using any of the available modes of payment such as credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.

Review the details entered in the application form and submit it.

Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Syllabus for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2023

The syllabus for NATA 2023 includes two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test, while Part B is a drawing test. Here is the detailed syllabus for NATA 2023:

Part A:

Mathematics: Algebra, Logarithms, Matrices, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry, Theory of Calculus, Application of Calculus, Permutation and combination, Statistics and Probability.

General Aptitude: Objects, textures related to architecture and built environment. Interpretation of pictorial compositions, visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal), general awareness of national/international architects and famous architectural creations.

Part B:

Drawing and Sketching Skills: Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms, aesthetics, color texture, harmony, and contrast. Conceptualization and visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns- both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms. Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urban and rural life.
