Situated in Janakpuri, New Delhi, India, Sanskrit University Delhi is a central university. It was created in 1970 by a parliamentary statute. The second Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, is honored by the university’s name.

Central Sanskrit University award Program: The Central Sanskrit University offers this award to deserving students pursuing studies in Sanskrit and related fields. For a full year, the scholarship will pay out at a rate of Rs. 2,500/month.
The Sanskrit University Chancellor awards merit-based scholarships to deserving students pursuing studies in Sanskrit and related fields. The scholarship is worth Rs. 10,000 per month for a period of ten months.

State Government Scholarships: Students pursuing Sanskrit and related fields are eligible for several scholarships from the Delhi state government. The state governments determine the parameters for eligibility and the amount of the scholarship.
Scholarships from the University Grants Commission (UGC): Students pursuing Sanskrit and related fields are eligible to apply for several scholarships from the UGC. The requirements for eligibility and the value of the scholarship differ based on the UGC.

Campus

Campus Ganganath Jha: This is the university’s main campus. It’s in Delhi’s Janakpuri neighbourhood.
