Are you eligible for admission in agriculture course?

For eligibility for UG Program-

The candidates who are looking for admission are needed to qualify the 10+2 or equivalent exam with biology, mathematics, and physics subjects from any recognized school or board. The duration of UG courses (B.Sc. Agriculture) is four years.

Students can apply for admission through entrance exams organized at the national, state, and university levels. They can apply for this course after completing their 10+2 education. Some colleges also offer admissions based on the merit list of the qualifying exam.

It was first established in 1964 under the name of Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University.  This university also provides courses for Agricultural Engineering and Technology and Home Science.

The eligibility criteria for the admission-

20% Supernumerary seats on total intake for candidates with Diploma in Agriculture/ Seed Technology/ organic farming through AGRICET.

A total of 6% of seats are allotted to in-service candidates, out of which 55 are allotted to in-service AEOs from Agriculture Department and 1% for AEOs working in University.

It is an agricultural education state university which was established in 1969 in Jorhat in the state of Assam, India.

A candidate must have passed Higher Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture from a recognized University or Board.

A candidate must have secured 50% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS category and 40% in aggregate for SC/ST/DAC in qualifying examination.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-

It was initially established as an agricultural school in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906.

The university offers 13 undergraduate programs, 40 graduate programs, and 27 doctoral programs.

This university was ranked 105 among BRICS nations by QS World University Ranking of 2018.

The candidates need to appear for the TNAU entrance test which is held offline.

The eligibility criteria are-

A candidate must have passed Higher Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture from a recognized University or Board.

The student should have passed 10+2 with 60% with the subjects combination Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology with four elective i.e. Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Home Science.

The fees structure-

The fees for the four years course is around 1, 47,600 INR.

Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-

Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU is a Central University located at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, India. It was founded as the means for distance and open education in 1985.

The Eligibility Criteria is-

The IGNOU selection procedure is based on the credit system, Here, for every subject particular credit point is awarded.

The fee structure-

The course is available in two categories, that are-

Post Graduation Program in Plantation management (PGPM) which is a 1-year course and has 6600 INR fees.

Post Graduate Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management (PGDFSQM) which is also a 1-year course and has 14400 INR fees.
