Also known as Asperger’s Syndrome or Asperger disorder and Asperger disorder, is classified as an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Some difficulties that the patient suffers from are significant difficulties in social interaction, restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. This movie is on mixed problems faced by people with mental disorders and also those who face discrimination based on religion. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 165 minutes.

Koi Mil Gaya

Movie Directed by Rakesh Roshan, released in 2003 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta as leads. This movie focuses on Mental Retardation. The patient suffered this problem due to an accident that took place before his birth. During the accident, the fetus was damaged, causing this disability. It also includes an alien character, which helps the lead character recover, and by giving him special powers. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 166 minutes.

Judgementall Hai Kya

Movie Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, released in 2019, featuring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao as leads. This movie focuses on Hallucinations. The patient suffered this problem, and the villain misused this problem to hide his crimes. The lead character was sent to an asylum for her out of control activities. She was alleged for murder and after the shock treatment. She hallucinates about having friends, about being a different character in her real life and many such different things. In the end, the real culprit was caught, and the lead happily lives saying, she is what she is, and she will not change. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 116 minutes.

Taare Zameen Par

Movie Directed by Aamir Khan, released in 2007 featuring Darsheel Safary and Aamir Khan as leads. This movie focuses on a dyslexic child. It shows how children suffering from dyslexia needs special care and assistance. It also shows, how they are generally misinterpreted by their family members and teachers. The lead character is sent to boarding school as his parents think that he is being lazy towards studies. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 164 minutes. It is one of the finest Bollywood movies that include mental disorders.

Barfi

Movie Directed by Anurag Basu, released in 2012 featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D’Cruz as leads. This movie focuses on a patient suffering from Asperger Syndrome (AS). Also known as Asperger’s Syndrome or Asperger disorder and Asperger disorder, is classified as an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Some difficulties that the patient suffers from are significant difficulties in social interaction, restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. In this movie, it focuses on a girl having this disorder. And how she struggled in day to day work. And a love story with a deaf and dumb boy who takes care of her eventually. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 150 minutes. 

Devdas

Movie Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, released in 2002 featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit as leads. This movie focuses on Major depressive disorder (MDD). It is also known as clinical depression that is not taken into account and generally neglected. Under this condition, the person believes that life is not worth the fight and living. There is a constant sense of doom surrounding the person in this condition. Diagnosis is generally done by the patient’s experience and mental ability tests. In this movie, the lead character gets into depression due to the lost love of his life. He possesses drinking problems due to this incident. In the end, his death takes place in front of the house of his love of life. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 185 minutes. This is one of most different approach made to understand the mental disorders in Bollywood movies.

Krazzy 4

Movie Directed by Jaideep Sen, released in 2008 featuring Juhi Chawla, Arshad Warsi, Irrfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Suresh Menon, and Dia Mirza as leads. This movie includes various disorders seen in human beings like Intermittent Explosive Disorder (temper problem), schizophrenic, Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, and Selective Mutism. There are four main characters having these disorders and struggling in their lives. They all have a common doctor, who gets kidnapped while they were waiting for her in a car. One having Selective Mutism saw the face of one of the kidnappers and files a complaint. These four patients make a plan and save the doctor from the kidnappers. This movie is in the Hindi language and with a total duration of 112 minutes. It is a very entertaining movie showing the problems these patients face.
