As a fully accredited state university, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology holds the distinction of being the “First Agricultural University of the Bundelkhand Region.” In accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) 1958 Gazette-Adhiniyam 2010, the University was formed on March 2nd and announced via Government Order No. 301/79-V-1-10-1 (Ka) 27-2009 Lucknow. Originally known as “Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda,” its name was changed to “Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda” by the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam.
