Introduction
Mechanical engineering is an engineering sector combining the principles of engineering physics and mathematics with material science to design, analyze, produce and maintenance of mechanical equipment. BE in Mechanical Engineering is a 4-year programme which prepares students to become mechanical engineers.
Eligibility
Candidates who wish to pursue this course must have completed 10+2 exams with a minimum of 60 per cent accumulated in subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. BE Mechanical Engineering acceptances are based on national-level entrance tests, just like BTech courses. The top institutes choose students based on their performance in JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
Scope
Since its inception, mechanical engineering has provided a plethora of career opportunities. Students who complete the course will be able to find work in both the private and public sectors.
