The college has been contributing to the solemn task of nation-building since its very inception. The exemplary service the college has rendered society has received due recognition in several nationwide surveys that have consistently ranked Hansraj College among the top five out of about 5000 colleges in India.
Hansraj College is known for offering a state of art infrastructure to meet the pedagogic and research needs of its students and faculty members. These include a well-stocked Central Library and a Book Bank for economically disadvantaged students. The science departments have sprawling wings that house eighteen Science Labs and six Computer Labs.
