The undergraduate degree in LLB lasts for three years and covers seven core modules, which are criminal law, constitutional or administrative law, equity and trusts, land law, tort law, and EU law, it also has other optional courses too. In some colleges, LLB courses are combined with other subjects and that takes one extra year to complete.

The three-year law course offered by all law colleges in India is regulated and supervised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). This three-year law course is divided into six semesters and the candidate is awarded the degree only after the completion of all semesters.
As a part of an LLB degree, the candidate needs to take part in regular theory classes, moot courts, internships as well as tutorial work.
LLB Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for three years LLB course are-
- The student needs to be graduated that is they should have passed three years or four years duration course in any subject to pursue an LLB course.
- Other than this, certain colleges set a minimum percentage to be secured so that they can be offered a three years LLB course. The minimum percentage requirement for the general category is between 45% to 55% and for SC/ST category candidate it ranges from 35% to 45%.
