Jadavpur University is a government science and research university in Jadavpur, Kolkata, West Bengal. It is one of the top universities in the country bagging 5th position in NIRF 2020 rankings. It has also been ranked 75th in Times Higher Education in BRICS with a QS World Ranking range of 651 to 700. Admission for MA and MSc courses are entrance based conducted by the university itself, while for admission in ME and MTech courses, the candidate will be analysed on his/her GATE scores.

The first-year fees in Master courses range from INR 2100 to INR 4800.

The placement statistics of the university can definitely compete with any reputed NIT or IIT with more than 84% of students being placed in 2020. The highest package was 58 lakhs per annum with an average package of 19.96 lakhs per annum. 

The university provides you with the best opportunities in research as well as best placement offers. It must be on your list if IIT is not your thing as this is not less than IIT.
