REET Mains Exam Pattern - Marks Distribution for Level 1 & 2

The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) is conducted for the enrollment of qualified candidates for the teaching post in the government schools. This examination is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) and it is conducted in two levels. The REET Mains exam design comprises of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for those candidates who need to apply for classes 1 to 5, whereas Paper 2 is for those who need to apply for classes 6 to 8. Check out the pattern followed:

  • Totally 150 multiple choice questions
  • Each question carries 2 marks, totalling 300 marks.
  • Negative marks for a wrong attempt is ⅓ rd of 2 marks.
  • Total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • One question paper for each level.
