DU offers around 240 courses available at the university for undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG). The undergraduate course intake for Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing Process, and Automation Engineering, Biotechnology, many more. And post-graduate course intake for English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Commerce, History, Chemistry, Economics many more. There are 77 colleges and 16 faculties affiliated to the University of Delhi, spread across Delhi. North Campus and South Campus serve as the two main campuses of the university.
The candidate needs to have 50% or more marks in Mathematics/Business mathematics.
An aggregate of 60% or more in English/Hindi and combination of best
Three of the following subjects- Mathematics, Accountancy, economics, and Business Studies/Commerce.
With 50% or more marks in Mathematics/Business Mathematics.
An aggregate of 60% or more in English/Hindi and combination of best of three subjects from the following i.e. Mathematics, accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies/ Commerce.
Certain key points to be remembered while admission which is effected by the COVID-19 is-
There is no admission under extracurricular activities (ECA).
The students who have NCC and NSS certificates are eligible for admission.
According to old rules, the admission was also based on sports quota where certificate and trial were having weightage. But, now, the admission will be based on certificates no need for trials.
As mentioned before the best four eligibility criteria, there is the inclusion of vocational subjects in them which will result in deduction of 2.55 (10 marks) from the aggregate.
Also, it should be taken into consideration that there is a 10% more seat after the expansion of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.
For B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) there is the conduction of tests conducted by the National Testing Agency, where the candidate has to clear the entrance exam DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test).
The students need to attend open days classes in the form of webinars. The date for the webinar sessions will be announced soon. And during the admission, the candidate needs to have online verification of the documents.
