Bengaluru North institution (BNU) is a state institution in Kolar, Karnataka, India, next to NH 75 at Tamaka. Dr. Venugopal K R, a UVCE alumnus and principal, served as the government of Karnataka’s special officer for the trifurcation of Bangalore University, which had over 600 associated institutions. On March 26, 2015, he turned in his report recommending the division of Bangalore University into Bengaluru City University, Bengaluru North University, and Bangalore University. C. T.
