Located in Chennai, Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College offer BNYS course consisting of 4.5 years of study and 1 year of internship. This is a government college affiliated to Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. The seats are filled through the selection committee appointed by the directorate of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy under the Government of Tamil Nadu. The application fee for general category is INR 500 and for Special category, it is INR 100. The fee required for the first year of academics is around INR 125000.
Sree Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences
Sree Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences was established in 1989 at Ujire, Karnataka. SDM College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. SDM offers BNYS (5.5 years) and MD (3 years) in two specialized streams. There are 120 seats available for BNYS and 10 seats each for the two specialization courses. Admission is merit-based. Students with minimum 45% marks in their 12th standard and having done the mandatory subjects can apply for the same. Candidates applying for a seat in MD course should have completed BNYS with minimum 50% marks. Total fees for BNYS is INR 29500 and for MD course, INR 34800. Sree Ramakrishna Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences was founded in 2001 at Kulasekharam in Tamil Nadu. SRM Medical College is affiliated with MG.R Medical University, Chennai. This institute offers BNYS course for Class 12th pass students who have obtained minimum 50 % aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and biology can apply for the course. There are 100 seats for the course.
The Tamil Nadu Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences
Located at Salem, Tamil Nadu, The Tamil Nadu Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences is a private institute which offers BNYS course for 5 years and 6 months. There are 60 intakes every year. The candidates should be of a minimum of 17 years and should have qualified National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET-UG). Both merit-based scholarships and income-based scholarships are provided to the deserving students. Candidates applying to this college should register for the counselling session under Ayush NEET counselling. The counselling is conducted as three stages. The candidates who registered for the course and got selected at the first allotment stage should report the college in the given date. There will be three allotments in total.
